actually, I think that bewcause of th e insane price of the PS3, and then the lack of support that will follow, the Wii will be a superior selling maching, next to the Xbox 360 of course.

the Wii (what does it mean in japanese??) will be something that many people who feel left out by the overpriced consoles get behind and force to the forefront of next-gen gameing.

BTW: the DC is still alive and well it was pretty much the basis of the Xbox when you consider it had Windoze CE, internet gaming,and a slew of other features that where late current-gen concepts otherwise.

Wii means absolutly nothing in Japanese, mainly because it ins't a word ;)

as for the Dreamcast still being alive... there are still modders working to put ROMS on there, but other than that Sega.Net is dead, All the good games from the counsole are being remade/sequaled, and Winodws CE isn't apparent on the Xbox, are you joking, I haven't seen a Windows CE device in fOREVER :D

well ya, u got a really good point, but the die hard video gamers are goin to be the ones forkin over the god knows how many hundreds of dollars towards the 360 and ps3, but ya, price is goin to play a HUGE role in this console cycle, just another fyi, im not too fond of the whole nunchuk controler thingy, it just seems to me like it would be more of a pain than an inovation, oh btw, wat did u mean by "lack of support that will follow"?

the "lack of support" would be in referrance to the lack of 3rd party developer support for the Wii and for that matter the PS3. Consider this, Sony dops back the launch of the PS3 another year, manufacture all thses launch consoles and launch with 50 games instead of a minimal 10 or 15 and drop the price AT LEAST 150 bucks because of the technology in it being mass manufactured.

true, but you said that you shouldn't judge games on JUST graphics. i want to know the specifics on gameplay.

Gameplay is key and that is what Nintendo is cashing in on with the Wii, especially since analysts are quoting the Wii as being 200 bucks on launch. i know I will be in line for one ;)

Graphics are just graphics. Who cares unless you buy an High Def TV (or own one already) current gen is going to be about the best graphics you can get.

Load times are going to be important. look at Wrestlemania 21 (XBoX) the graphics were awesome for that genre but the load times killed all the fun.

I look for the Wii to be overpowered for the graphics that Nintendo will be using in its next-gen games. Which hopefully will result in low load times and less lagging. Xbox 360 has decent load times but has lagged on me when i played it.
